Om Baba Philosohpy
Ommie has this theory that the world is round like a big disco ball dangling from the fingers of God.
Inside there is a huge festival going on. Sometimes its good, sometimes it’s a scary roller coaster ride or a ghost train through hell but always its as illusory and temporary as a festival.
Outside is the many mirrors reflectinf your actions back to the original source.
There is something in there about how the Hindu looks at life. He is speaking about the belief that life is a manifestation of divinity, that we are both spectators and participants at a massive event.
Hinduism isn’t so much a religion as a series of practises that ensure the individuals correct path through life. You are born in order to enact or somehow retract some karma or action. This being the case, you should have perfect faith that the correct opportunities will occur for you at the perfect time, because God is stage managing this gig!
So all you have to do, according to Ommie, is just get on with it. Participate in the great festival of life on plant earth. Act according to your dharma (correct path) and eventually individual salvation is achieved.
